AMF Wen-Mac 1957 Chevy 5 B/GS Gas Powered Dragster 1957 Chevrolet Hot Rod Up for your consideration is an AMF Wen-Mac 1957 Chevy 5 B/GS Gas Powered Dragster. These gas powered cars were manufactured in the mid-1960’s. The B/GS is the official designation of the National Hot Rod Association for B/ Class Gas Supercharger. The Blue plastic body is original. The plastic front windshield and rear window has a factory green/blue tint. It has a chrome hood scoop, mag wheels, roll bar, dash & steering wheel, floor shift, headlamps and front & rear bumpers. The headers were refinished in silver. It has a .049 gas powered engine, rubber front tires & rear racing slicks. It measures approximately 12” X 4 ½” X 3 ½”. It has a metal chassis and stamped on it states: AMF Wen Mac Made in U.S.A. This 57 Chevy has been played with and was very well maintained. It is in very good condition for 50+ year old toy. The chrome is also in very good condition as seen in the photos. Both front and rear clips that hold the body to the metal frame were repaired at sometime. This Wen-Mac 57 Chevy was manufactured with oil-lite bronze bushings on both sides of the rear axle to reduce friction and wear. The .049 gas/nitro engine still turns over with compression, however, is untested. Included are photocopies of the instructions for operating the gas powered 57 Chevy Dragster B/GS and Modified 57 Chevrolet B/GS spring motor.
