Offered here is a beautiful antique solid heavy weight Sterling Silver Pedestal Cake or Dessert Stand. The plate has a reticulated 3/4" edge rim and the plate has atriple pattern reticulated border edge. This cake plate measures a little over 10" in diameter and stands a little over 3" in height on a substantial 4 1/2" diameter pedestal. This cake plate is in very good well cared for estate condition with the typical normal surface scratches from use. It was safely stored in a non tarnish silver storage bag that will be included. There is an ornate old English Monogram M in the center as pictured. The plate is hallmarked for The Meriden Britania Co. Sterling (1895-1898) which was absorbed into the International Silver Co. It is also marked for LeBolt & Co. of Chicago. This cake stand weighs a very substantial 376 grams. Please view photos to further aid in description. Safely packed delivery in the US will be $14.95.
