vintage HUBLEY cast iron POPEYE MOTORCYCLE 1930s toy figure patrol cycle rare - $2,499 - (Trenton, NJ)
Very nice and hard to find original Hubley cast iron Popeye patrol cycle from the 1930s. Measures about 8.5" long. Popeye stands about 5" tall. Still has its front spoke clicker. Has wear from age including paint wear, paint fade, corrosion, dust dirt, cracked rubber on training wheels. Appears the rivets on Popeye and his bike have been repeened. The toy may have had paint touch ups over the years, but I can't find any obvious patches or glowing areas under black light, so it may have been a long time ago. There may have been a thin layer of clear coat sprayed on it, its hard to tell visually but the surface is slightly tacky. Still, this is a very hard to find original Hubley Popeye motorcycle in pretty good condition for its age. Please look over all photos for condition.
