MOMA Museum Collection Bauhaus Modernist Table Lamp, Wilhelm Wagenfeld - $475 - (Avella, PA)

This classic lamp was purchased in 1993, carefully unpacked, and then remained in place for fifteen years until it was packed up for my retirement move. No scratches to glass base and the opaline glass shade is perfect. Absolutely faultless as I run my finger along its edge. The lamp has remained in cool finished-basement storage but when I unpacked the lamp to test it the cord felt a bit stiff. I straightened it out completely for the test, screwed in a bulb, and lit the lamp. I also gave the cord a "shake test" to ensure that there will be no short circuits when plugged in. If you are a perfectionist/hobbyist, replacement cord is readily available online. With the exception of the slightly- stiff lamp cord everything else is like new with signs of packing/unpacking to the box. Just no room to display it now after downsizing my home. All the original materials and packing are included, even the lamp's TECNOLUMEN tag, two-prong conversion plug, and two small brass grommets (of indeterminate use). There is one slightly damaged flap to the original box from a tape pull.
