This is a decorative trunk / dowry chest / blanket box. Inspired by 19th century boxes, this is a wonderful vintage box. The lid is in a raised relief fashion. Hand-painted fruit on lid and front. Metal handles on the sides. Clasp on the front has no locking mechanism. The lid is hinged on the back. It is painted in a mixture of tans and creams to give it an antique look. The trim on the lid has been applied in sections. Measures 18" wide, 13" tall and 12" deep. Is painted black on the inside. Unless otherwise stated, my items are used and I do my best to describe to the best of my knowledge. May show signs of gentle wear consistent with normal use.
