Beautiful Antique Lane Deco Waterfall-Style Cedar Chest with Aromatic Cedar Lini - $250 - (Ithaca, NY)

This gorgeous antique deco cedar chest was made in 1944 and hasthe original Lane label. The interior lined with aromatic cedar is veryclean interior. The outside features beautiful wood inlay and and theoriginal push-button release for the lid. Between 1912 and 1987, Lane and Virginia Maid manufactured andsold an estimated 12 million cedar chests. The chest measures 47" wide, 18.5" deep and 22" high.The chest is in good condition minor signs of previous use such asscattered scuffing on the lid and some loss of veneer at the base. Warning: This chest retains the original locking mechanism for thelid which has been proven unsafe for children. This lock should bereplaced immediately to reduce danger by suffocation.
