Victorian Wooden Toy Horse on Wheels Great Collectible - $42 - (Collinsville, TX)
This is an 1900's wooden toy horse on wheels. It measures about 7 1/2 inches from tip of ear to base and about 6 inches long - measurements are approximate. The horse has nice stocky legs, which are firmly attached to the base. Most of the toy wooden horses similar to this have very thin legs and through the years were broken off or badly damaged. He is missing the right front wheel on the base. The bottom has a handwritten note that has Torino Italy on the Adriactic Sea (or something very close to that). This must have been a souviner for a child. I have taken a photo of the bottom of the base, maybe you can decipher it better than I can. This is a more unusual wooden toy horse than I have seen.
