Box is stained a bit on top, some rips on opening lid and some tape applied to on side rip. This is a complete unit. foot pedal still wrapped tightly so I dout it was used. Factory supplied string and needle pack still in plastic bag( this bag was/ is in battery compartment) I bought batteries and tested this item, works as it should. Batteries not included. It is metal crackle grey paint finish. Battery operated complete with foot pedal switch light and extension table. Actually says complete with extra needles safe educational practice. Has instructions and original box. A wonderful piece to add to your collection. Thank you
