MUSEUM QUALITY Vintage PRE CIVIL WAR Tulip Applique Antique Quilt ~TREE BORDER! This MAGNIFICENT cotton 1850's tulip medallion quilt is hand appliqued and hand quilted, with a nice willow tree border. It measures 74" X 98" and is in excellent condition, with light surface dirt, the occasional age spot (see pics) and no wear. There is quilting around the applique and in grid and leaf designs in the background, all at 6-7 stitches to the inch. The back is white, the hand stitched binding is rolled over from the front, and the batting is thin.
