Offered here for your consideration is a Marcolini period Meissen Porcelain chocolate pot. This rare chocolate pot is decorated in an Indian flower variant in purple, green, yellow and blue and retains a period wooden handle. The lid has a brass handle, mount, and spoon hole cover. The base bears a blue underglaze crossed swords factory mark. It dates to the 18th century. It is in overall good, as-pictured used estate condition with an old professionally repaired chip on the foot and the tip of the spout. Otherwise, there are some fine and light glaze and surface scratches here and there and other signs of expected light wear consistent with age.
