Prior to the 10,000 being made and sold and numbered for the public, these were the 21 pre production models given to special executives/friends of the President of Playmates Toys Inc. All 21 were numbered 00000 of 10,000...This item did not come in a box or with any additional decals etc as it was never meant to be sold commercially. Has four distinct sound effects...all work perfectly as do the lights. One of only 21 produced. This one belonged to Jeff Segal who worked for Universal Cartoon Studios (a subsidiary of Universal Studios) See original letter (that will accompany the starship) I purchased this from Jeff Segal many years ago.Thus I am only the second owner. A truly remarkable and very rare collectible for the Start Trek lover or anyone who enjoys the very best and rarest items. This is the first time one has been available on Ebay. Playmates also makes what is called a "gold" version of this starship that they sell every few years as an Anniversary model...those are NOT rare as 10,000-50,000 are made each time and they are NOT 24k gold plated; they are simply gold in color. This will be packed to perfection w an abundance of bubble wrap and peanuts and then double boxed and insured. I will ship priority mail.
