Vintage knit Polyester fabric sports quality red gray diamond pattern 96"x64" - $9 - (West Springfield, MA)
New, somewhat vintage (preowned but not used) knit polyester fabric. Maker's information is not available. To the touch fabric is smooth (not like slinky/silky polyester): like cotton/spandex quality, sports wear (not for hot weather nor for too cold). However, this fabric was made of polyester fibers (burn test). I think it is Polyester Argyle..used in 80th...I am not sure but it is close to that quality. Fabric has some horizontal and more of a diagonal stretch. Almost none of a vertical stretch. Looks like this was a "tube" knit fabric because the fabric's selvages (no actual selvages) are not finished and look like they were split cut. The weight of the fabric is 2+ lbs without packaging. 2 yards 24 inches long and 64 inches wide. Ideal for clothing, decor, quilting, crafts, ets. Fabric remnant is new, clean, had not been prewashed nor used. Fabric was stored in sewing room in boxes and in the attic for about 20+ or so years. Fabrics have folds as they are not stored on bolts and had been folded and not ironed ever since they had been bought/stored. Please, have in mind that I do try to describe the condition of fabrics/items as accurately as i can...but there are maybe instances when i could miss something that could be hard to see: but this is mostly with vintage stuff and somewhat vintage (about 10 to 20 years old). Most of fabrics labeled as "vintage" and "new" in a sense that they had not been used and are somewhere from at least 15 and up to 50 years old. Some maybe prewashed but i usually make a note of it. This fabric comes from a smoke free, pets friends environment: bunny. Returns accepted only if they are in their original shape/condition. Buyer is responsible for shipping charges.
