This item is an official NFL Wilson Autograph Football issued to commemorate the retirement of Joe Montana's #16 jersey on December 15, 1997. This football is hand signed by Mr. Montana. I personally obtained the signature/autograph from Joe Montana when I attended a "Pepsi-One Celebrity Quarterback Golf Shootout" where he participated by playing golf. This golf tournament was held for many years near my home here in Northern California. The football was made in the USA and it states that it is "The Robby - The Official NFL Autograph Football" It is from "Rough and Ready Productions, Rough and Ready CA". As an added bonus, I will include the original December 16, 1997 "Joe Montana Number Retirement Souvenir Section" from the San Francisco Examiner. This souvenir newspaper contains eight (8) pages and has many photographs and articles about Joe Montana's life and football career. Both the autographed football and the newspaper are in very good condition. The signature on this football is a lot better then the pictures on this listing show.
