FREE SHIPPING FOR CONTINENTAL US ADDRESSES! This is a custom engineered high power woofer designed for use in any Cerwin Vega speaker system where 15 inch foam edge low frequency drivers were used. This is as close as I can get to "factory stock" right now. These frames are "slightly large", so, you might have to hog out the woofer hole just a bit. If you have a cabinet with a small hole the difference can be easily taken care of with a rat tail file or a power drill with a sanding attachment. It will only be a few minutes work and you don't have to do anything with the screw holes. Make the woofer hole 13 7/8 inches and then it will fit right in. No major surgery is needed in case you want to put factory speakers back in your boxes. Simply remove your old woofer and install this one with the same wire connections. Cerwin Vega CLS series cabinets already have holes plenty big (14 1/8") for these to drop into. Cerwin Vega factory midranges and tweeters are already plenty loud enough to provide a good balance with this woofer. So... Why was this speaker built? We conceived this project simply to give Cerwin Vega owners some more power handling in the bass frequencies where it is desirable and to give them an "American Made" component like "back in the day". Our woofer is carefully assembled, here in the USA, one at a time to give you a perfect speaker. The sound character is very similar to what you're already used to.
