Interesting true vintage saucer shaped hat - or you may know the more correct term - Interior has a Union Made in U.S.A. label and Union bug and additional union information, but it has faded a bit and I do not know the meaning of all of the numbers Hat has the textured material with just a bit of lace still attached to the crown. I would remove the remaining lace because there is just a bit left. The front of the hat is covered in the original millinery flowers. The "petals" of the full flowers are a mixture of a stiff tulle, a lighter organza, a satin like, and a velvet or velveteen - all in white. The petals show aged wear and some discoloration - However, the additional flower "buds" still look rather lovely - Color: a faded black or a deep faded navy with white flowers Could be 1930s to 1940s to 1950s ? Size: unstated, but the circumference of the interior measures approx 22 inches Labeling: Union Made In U.S.A. / CA 334398 - additional logos and union bug Condition: fair vintage - Other additional vintage millinery flowers on a similar hat may be of interest - great colored stamens on those flowers - Light but will need to ship flat, so mailing cost is more due to size of boxing needs.
