Offered is this antique map of the world in full pastel colors, taken from "Black's General Atlas", by Adam and Charles Black, published in Edinburgh in 1851. The engraver is S. Hall. The map shows the world divided into two round Eastern and Western hemispheres. The map measures approx. 16 3/4" x 12 1/4". It is in very good condition, with no holes or tears. The printing is clear but there is some spottiness and light soiling to the surface. It has been placed in a paper holder, where a previous owner has written a brief description of the map and that it was purchased on January 5, 1974. There is also a one-line title written at the bottom of the map in pencil, which could probably be erased if desired. Please take a moment to look at the other items in my eBay store!
