NOW REDUCED! GREAT ESTATE FIND. MARITIME SHIPS CLOCK NICELY MOUNTED ON SOLID WOOD. ALL REASONABLE OFFERS CONSIDERED. FAST SHIPPING ?? THIS IS A BEAUTIFUL VERY RARE VINTAGE ART TEMPLE USA PORTHOLE NAUTICAL CLOCK WITH CHIMING HAMMER AND BELL. BRASS SHIPS BELL STRIKE WALL CLOCK This distinctive ship's bell strike wall clock makes a handsome decorative accent for your coastal retreat. It is made as well if not better then a Chelsea or Schatz Royal Mariner clock. You wont be disappointed. The clock features a quartz movement and is housed behind a beveled glass case that opens up like a porthole. The glass case is surrounded by a tarnish proof, lacquered brass bezel and mounted on a solid wooden base. The clock strikes at the top of the hour and counts each hour with a double strike. For example - at 1 PM the clock will strike 1 double bell (2 strikes in total), at 2 PM it will strike 2 double bells (4 strikes in total) and at 12PM it will strike 12 double bells (24 in total). There’s a place near the bottom for a personalized plate. Measures approximately: 10"W x 3.5"D x 20.5"H. The clock works great. The hammer strike has been unhooked but can be hooked back up if you prefer it. We were told there is a switch in the rear behind the wood mount that turns the bell on and off. The Clock runs beautifully. It’s as smooth as a Rolex. Requires one D battery not included. This is a very heavy well made clock. The bell and hardware are made of thick rich solid brass.
