Barb Spencer Signed Cloth Hitty Doll Hand Made 6.5 Inches Rare! - $121 - (Lincoln, CA)

A beautifully hand made cloth hitty doll by Barb Spencer; 6 1/2" tall. Her limbs are wired and tightly stuffed, her soft black wig is sewn down to her head, and she has inked features. Her little black boots are painted and have tiny gold bead buttons with brown thread laces. Her pantaloons and half slip are beige homespun fabric with cotton lace trim, and her dress is a brown cotton botanical print with tan lace trim at neck. Clothes are not removable, as far as we can tell. She is wearing a coral color tiny beaded necklace. This doll is signed both on the back of her torso, and on the pantaloons. Signature is Barb Spencer and it also includes the marking of letters T.E.A. inside a house frame. If you zoom in on our last photo you can see the word "Hitty" is embroidered on the doll's dress.Very rare and hard to find. Artist Barb Spencer wrote the books on doll faces.
