ANTIQUE REVERSE GLASS WATLING TREASURY SLOT MACHINE ADVERTISING SIGN - $1,125 - (Lampasas, TX)
This is a very rare reverse glass advertising sign by the Watling Manufacturing Company. It reads, " Play Our Finest, Treasury". The word "Treasury" is backed with a gold foil. The Treasury slot machine came out in the early 1930's. This sign was purchased about 30 years ago from an antique dealer in Pennsylvania. A paper backing was added to protect the glass in 1991 and dated on the back of the paper. I have searched the web and have not been able to find another like this. It measures 22 1/2" X 14 1/2" in the frame. The oak frame is 1 1/2" in width. The colors are vibrant. The last picture shown with a Treasury slot machine is reflecting glare on the glass, but gives an idea of size. This is a rare collectible.
