HH Scott 130 Tube Pre amplifier, excellent and restored - $1,485 - (Bellevue, WA)
HH SCOTT 130 Tube Pre-amp -Fully Restored with upgraded power supply. All restored power supply with extra capacitance - 35uf Polyfilm CD filters and one 50/50uf F&T electrolytic filter for phono stage(original filters were only 10uf electrolytic, replaced with high efficiency long life all poly-film, the extra space required two film filters to be mounted behind the rear access panel, the one F&T is a German made electrolytic). Selenium rectifier replaced with silicone bridge. All new resistors in power supply. Russian K40 coupling caps in the high voltage areas, Sprague orange drops in the low voltage and phono. CD polyester caps for the output. This is not your run of the mill restoration that you typically see- as in "re-cap a few coupling caps, with cheap IC's, and call it restored, then flip." All parts beyond their life or out of spec replaced with new. Tubes test good, all look original except for one 12ax7 RCA, the rest appear to be HH Scott labeled, but others have labeling too warn out to decipher but guessing they are tele's. Unknown 6x4. All functions were tested and everything works as it should. All sockets and controls cleaned with de-ox it. Outputs and inputs cleaned and polished with NOXIN 7. New power cord.Cosmetically it's in excellent condition for it's age, there are a few minor scratches that can only be noticed when really close. There is a mark or nick on the bottom edge of the plate that is not too visible and the case will cover most of it, I tried to show this in the last image. The lettering is all intact on the front. The lettering on the chassis it is a bit worn but all there. The case shown is real African mahogany veneer over engineered MDF, it wont shrink or dry out like the ones made out of hardwoods or plywood. It's in very nice condition and quite heavy.. I rebuilt this unit for myself to use in a second vintage system, but now those plans will not come to fruition. Unit is plug and play, but no warranty or returns due to age.…
