RARE 1848 Gueissaz Swiss music box musical movement Teddy Bear - $60 - (Wilmington, DE)

You are bidding on an antique Swiss musical movement! It is signed and stamped 1848. Due to its age, I have not been able to identify the song , which sounds like a folk tune. The box was taken from a teddy bear. It has a protective shell of wood and metal to amplify the sound. The movement winds from underneath with post/ring and plays continuously as long as there is sufficient pressure in the interior spring. It works smoothly and governor assembly does not bind during play. Below is a video showing play so you can hear the tune. It’s pretty unusual and has a nice bright sound for a little box.
