Vintage Solid Walnut Gavel Presentation Set--Gift for Judge or Auctioneer - $155 - (Manti, UT)
This is an elegant vintage American Made, Solid Walnut Presentation Gavel and Sound Block Set. (The sound block is the wood pad the gavel strikes.) The set appears new but had been used lightly because there are a couple small dents in the sound pad. The Gavel and Sound Block are surrounded by a padded, cream colored silk lining. The case has a brass latch on the front that secures the lid tightly. We could not find a manufacturer's name but there is a sticker on the bottom that says Solid American Walnut. We searched but were unable to find one that appeared to be by the same maker. The case measures 12.5 inches long, 8 inches wide, and 4.5 inches tall. The gavel is 10 inches long and all together the set weighs 4 pounds, 9 ounces. A gavel set is a special gift for a person newly appointed to a prestigious position. This one in a full, solid walnut case makes it a bit special. Many presentation sets would have a Brass name plate and we could have that done easily. We can ship it quite economically and accept returns for any reason within 30 days
