This is the very rare and legendary GRAY RESEARCH Model 103-SLP SIXTEEN INCH (Made to play 16" transcription records) radio broadcast tonearm. Made circa 1949 to 1953. I have not installed this tonearm and it is completely untested. This model uses a slide-in cartridge holder, however this slide-in cartridge holder IS MISSING and is not included in this auction. These 16" tonearms were used in nearly all radio stations to play 78RPM and early 33 RPM transcription records, 24 hours a day 365 days a year for decades. It is clean and the arm moves freely. This 70 year old historic relic is being sold completely AS-IS FOR PARTS, REPAIR or RESTORATION with no refund and no return.
