Tittle: RARE ALTEC LANSING 890c BOLERO Speakers + vintage stands Description: These are designed as "bookshelf" speakers so they work well on their sides or standing tall. These fantastic speakers have a 10 inch ALTEC driver with a 3 1/2 inch edge wound voice coil and 9.5 pound alnico magnet. The motor (voice coil and magnet assembly) is the same as the Altec 414 B and/or 414 C 12 inch woofer. It also has a 10 inch ALTEC passive radiator which give almost the same radiating surface area as a 15 inch woofer at low frequencies. Produces really low and defined bass in a book shelf cabinet. These speakers have superb imaging, espaecily if you set them at ear level. Highs are produced by a 6 X 3 inch horn. These really sound fantastic, with really low bass and excellent transient response. The midrange is remarkable and cymbals sound very natural. True Altec sound in a bookshelf loudspeaker. Condition: The Cabinets in perfect condition for their age. Both grills in excellent condition Packing: The speakers will be carefully padded and double or triple boxed.
