The bore of the horn ML is .460". The bell is 4 5/8". The engraving is crisp and clean, and reads "OLDS/ AMBASSADOR/ FULLERTON/ CALIF." This horn plays very well. The valves move well with very good compression, show little wear and feel very mechanically sound, with no wiggle from side to side. The slides all move well, of course. As for the aesthetic condition of the horn, there are a few small dings as well as some light scratching on the instrument. All this is visible in the pictures, and none of it affects the playability of the horn. This instrument has been professionally cleaned in our shop and repaired to full playability. This horn is not lacquered; therefore fingerprints should be wiped off after use if the player wishes for the horn to stay as shiny as it is now--if they are not wiped off then the horn will develop a lovely patina.
