The bore of the horn is .452". The bell is 4 3/8". The bell engraving reads: “QUALITÉ/ ARTISTIQUE/ HENRI/ SELMER/ PARIS/ DÉPOSÉ/ GRANDS PRIX/ GENEVE 1927 BARCELONE 1929/ LIEGE 1930/ H. SELMER/ MADE IN FRANCE/ SELMER/ BRITISH AGENT/ 12 MOOR ST/ LONDON.” The leadpipe has: “BB/ MB/ LP/ 22” stamped on the mouthpiece receiver. The second valve casing also has the “Henri Selmer Paris” logo stamped above the serial number and “NM” stamped below. This horn looks fairly presentable and plays very well. The valves have very good compression and feel very mechanically sound, with no wiggle from side to side. As for the aesthetic condition of the horn, there are a few minuscule dings and nicks as well as some significant etching, pitting, and scratching throughout. The horn is gold plated, but it has worn off in several places, particularly where there is also significant pitting or etching. All this is visible in the pictures, and none of it affects the playability of the horn. This instrument has been professionally cleaned in our shop and repaired to full playability.
