Nearly Mint Condition Henri Selmer Paris "DeVille" Trumpet w/case and mouthpiece - $900 - (Carson City, NV)

For more information about our business, please feel free to visit our Ebay Profile at http://www.ebay.com/usr/silver_brass_music This is a stunning vintage Henri Selmer Paris DeVille trumpet (serial number 31851). The serial number puts the date of manufacture at around 1964. The bore of the horn is medium-large at .459". The bell is 4 5/8". The engraving is crisp and clean, and reads "DeVille/Henri/ Selmer/ Paris/ Made in France/ R". This horn plays very well. The valves are in excellent condition with great compression. The slides all move, of course. As for the aesthetic condition of the horn, there are a couple of minuscule pings as well as some very light scratches and very light etching in a few places. The bell engraving reads: “DeVille/ HENRI/ SELMER/PARIS MADE IN FRANCE/ ®?.” All this is visible in the pictures, and none of it affects the playability of the horn. This instrument has been professionally cleaned in our shop, and all the valve felts and water key corks were replaced. This horn is not lacquered; therefore fingerprints should be wiped off after use if the player wishes for the horn to stay as shiny as it is now--if they are not wiped off then the horn will develop a lovely patina.
