Beautiful antique, Georgian garnet collar necklace from England. Made of 15 kt yellow gold and comprised of individual links with alternating shapes terminating in a stunning rosette pendant with drop. Flat top garnets faceted only on the side are set in each link. They have great, deep color. All of the stones are foiled. Original clasp is sturdy. Measures 16" in length; pendant is additiona 1-3/4" long and 1" wide. Very good, original condition with only minor wear to the back of some of the links and minor surface wear on a couple of the garnets. Dates to Circa 1830's - 1840's.
