Olds Valve Trombone With Original Sales Reciept From 1967 - $850 - (Granger, IA)
Selling an Olds valve trombone with original sales reciept from 1967, I bought it about a while back to play occasionally for jazz and for when I didn't have enough room to use a normal slide trombone in, I just don't use it enough anymore so I want it to have a new home where she gets played and taken care of. Valves work smooth with almost no wear and the slide that came from an Olds ambassador also has almost no wear and moves smooth. The tuning slides move great and seal well. On the valve trombone itself it has a little bit of wear on the lacquer from use and a little bit of discoloration where it was most handled, otherwise it's clean and free of dents except for two almost unnoticeable ones on the top of the tube in front of the valve assembly . The ambassador slide has the lacquer removed but otherwise has no issues. The case shows that it has been used with scratches, and wear on the leather stitching in some places, the inside lining is loose in one corner on the top of the case and has some wear as to be expected but is otherwise a very solid case. It does not come with a mouthpiece as it varies player to player for what works best with this trombone, it seems to like some of the older conn and Olds mouthpieces from what I've tried. Sold as is, if you have questions or want more pictures just ask.
