2 Beautiful and Large Vintage Italian Toleware Florentine Wood Trays w/Handles - $2,000 - (Aiken, SC)

These are two beautiful vintage Italian wood trays. I have collected Italian trays for years and have decided to sell some. Both show some signs of uneveness in color, but this seems common for these wood Italian trays that I have owned. The finish on these trays have so many variations in color that sometimes it is hard to distinguish if something is part of the design or perhaps something else. Because everyone sees condition differently please enlarge photos as they offer the most accurate visual. Descriptions follow: The first tray is in the traditional florentine gold colors with cream accents. Very nice condition with no damage found other than some slight wear to the finish here and there. On the top I notice some areas where the gilt is darker and this is shown in the photos. There are two lines that I can see when I hold it an angle where it looks like a slice in the surface, but I can't tell for certain. Whatever it is, only the surface is affected and does not go through to the bottom. The tray is very secure and I only noticed this because we always look our items over very carefully to ensure we give an accurate description. Measures approximately 17.25"x12".The second tray is florentine gold with a center that has a colorful bouquet of flowers on a black background. This tray also has an uneveness in color that is hard to see in some light and more visible in other. Measures around 23"x15".
