John B Taylor Louisville Stoneware Ceramics Harvest 2 Cup and Saucer Sets - $23 - (Bellville, TX)

Lot of 2 John B. Taylor Ceramics Cups and Saucers in the "Harvest" pattern. These are a wonderful example of handcrafted pottery from Louisville KY. Each of these plates are hand crafted and hand painted. They have a rather primitive look and feel to them, with slight variation in composition and color as would be expected in a handcrafted item such as this. They are also quite heavy. The JB Taylor Company was founded in 1815, but was not owned by John B. Taylor until 1938. In 1970, the company was sold and eventually became known as Louisville Stoneware. The 2 cups and saucers shown in these pictures are the exact items you will receive. (set 2)
