CHINESE EXPORT SILVER DRAGON TEA CADDY c1890 TUCK CHANG - 10 OUNCES - A very fine c1890 Chinese export silver dragons in flames hexagonal tea caddy. Signed TC 90 for Tuck Chang. In tall hexagonal form. Six side panels with richly detailed scenes of dragon amidst rolling clouds and fire set on stippled background. Two of the dragon spewing fire streams, on of them shown in overhead view - a not often seen design. Beaker cover atop stepped feet. In very fine condition. Rich silver patina. Retains original detail, cover closes tight. Mild surface wear to cover. The Chinese export silver dragon in flames tea caddy is 5 1/2 inches tall and weighs 10 standard ounces. Hallmarked as shown.
