Serial number 1832. The instrument has 99% original varnish, no cracks or damage to the wood. Keys are silver plated and all pads and corks are new. Price includes two bocals and new Protec case. Previously owned by an individual, never school-owned. Has original high D + alternate Eb on the wing. Tone holes have water tubes and all tenons have brass protector caps. Similar to Schreiber's model S-16 that's still in production, but no high E key. Street price on a Schreiber S-16 is now $9750. Our bassoon is a true "best buy" at $4150. "Better than a new one", in our opinion. Serial #1,832 on all joints, made in Nauheim in the mid to late seventies. Repad work is underway in our shop.
