Aircraft Recovery Control- US9938018B2 United States Patent - $20,000,000 - (Philadelphia, PA)

This auction is for transfer of ownership for US Patent 9,938,018 B2 - Aircraft Recovery Control (issued April 10,2018) Loss of control in-flight is the leading cause of fatal aircraft accidents worldwide. The majority of these accidents are due to pilot error/improper control response at the onset of loss of control conditions. Reference Colgan Air Flight 3407 (2009) and Air France Flight 447 (2009) as major loss of control in-flight disasters. Hundreds of LOC-I accidents occur every year in private and general aviation operations, leading to over 800 fatalities (see “Aircraft Loss of Control Study” by Steve Jacobson, NASA). Aircraft Recovery Control is an aircraft stand alone or integrated avionics system that aids, assists or fully recovers through automation, an aircraft from an imminent loss of control inflight situation. Application: Turbine powered aircraft with EFIS systems. General aviation aircraft with EFIS/adaptive displays. Patent allows modification for use on handheld devices with proper data input. Two dedicated software processing systems: - Flight Predictive Model (FPM): Utilizes input from aircraft data sensors, processes the data through a set of algorithms that computes predicted flight path and compares predicted flight path to predetermined flight envelope. Triggers a recovery sequence if predicted parameters exceed flight envelope. - Safe Flight Model(SFM): When triggered, the SFM provides dynamic and real time recovery solution to pilots via Primary Flight Display and aural warning system. Can also be coupled to autoflight system for fully automated recovery from impending loss of control in flight. Display guidance is pilot intuitive, requires little training and caters to natural human instinctive reaction. Product marketed under “AURA” - Aircraft Upset Recovery Augmentation. Auction includes exclusive use of AURA and AURA logo. Auction includes developed FPM software. Technology is currently being processed by the FAA for joint…
