VINTAGE CAKE SERVING SET IN BOX-BLACK FOREST-EUC - $8 - (West Alexandria, OH)

This is a vintage, Black Forest cake/pie serving set, in original box, marked, and in excellent condition. This set would accent any Holiday party table. The knife has a serrated blade, it is 13 1/4 inches long with the blade being 7 3/4 inches, it is marked on the back "MADE IN JAPAN NAT'L HEADQUARTERS U.S.A.", I am not sure what that means, if it means when we occupied Japan or what. The trowel is also marked on the back, it is a little over 11 inches long, the trowel being 5 3/4 inches long with a little slope (ledge) or what ever it is called to make it simpler to pick up the cake/pie and it is serrated on one side. The handles are a clear lucite or hard durable plastic, not sure which but they are a very beautiful set that is in excellent condition.
