14K Yellow Gold ,Vintage spring nose clip Eyeglasses, With case - $95 - (Swansboro, NC)

A really beautiful 14k yellow gold, Antique pair of nose bridge reading glasses. This is the type that the spring gold bridge rests firmly on the bridge of your nose allowing you to read or work, hands free. The nose bridge is marked Pat, Jan 28 1884, so these glasses are circa 1890's. The end of the glasses with the loop that you would attach a neck cord, is hallmarked 14k. I tried to take a picture, but it doesn't show clearly. The weight of these glasses is 10.3 grams, so I figure there is about a hundred dollars in gold less the lenses. These glasses come with the original leather case, but I'm sorry the case is in really bad shape. The leather really dried out. Th glasses including the loop are 4.25" long and from bottom of lenses to top of bridge are 1.25".
