WONDERFUL MID- 19TH CENTURY GERMAN 6-SIDED WOODEN BLOCK PUZZLE WITH COLOR LITHOGRAPHED IMAGES -- CUBIC METAMORPHOSES. 8 3/4 by 7 inches and 2 inches high - a wooden box with a sliding pictorial lid which houses 30 6-sided wooden blocks covered with color pictorial paper which make up 6 different tableaus: "Play at Ninepins;" "Amusement at the Water;" "Military Play;" "The Strayed Children;" "The Round Dance;" and "Blind Man's Buff." The box is damaged and lacking two sides - and the blocks show wear and rubbing but still the set is complete and in overall Good condition -- and a wonderful survival from the mid-19th Century.
