Scale Models Automobiles of the World SeriesThis toy came from the Yokuto Tanaka Collection of Japan The toy itself is in excellent overall condition and has working bright headlights, sliding metal sunroof, moveable antenna, revolving fan and 2 point pulley system motor ( as opposed to the single on other Bandai bug variations) early metal and not plastic battery case, clickety clack motor noise , bump and go mechanism as usual all functions working as designed. Trim and windscreen in place and driver wears the latest 1960's fashion trend including beret and plaid socks. This tin toy is very hefty in metal construction.Unfortunately the box is as pictured in poor - poor shape but possibly served to transport toy from shop to shop? This Volkswagen captures the essence of the 1965 VW design and is one of the highest quality tin toys of the era. Condition is very good to excellent as shown and overall color and patina is excellent. Any few blemishes or abrasions are pictured.
