This is THE Apollo 11 landing site pre-mission geologic map and is a rather rare item. This publication consists of one large full-color map, an accompanying 4-page explanatory article, and the original manila sleeve. The map is at a scale of 1:25,000 and measures 24x41 inches. All three parts of this publication, the map, the article, and the sleeve, are in excellent condition. The map and article appear not to have been used at all. This was published in 1970. A very nice map with the landing site (Tranquility Base) clearly marked on it along with the landing date! This is the map for the first manned moon landing mission, where Neil Armstrong became the first person to walk on the moon.The first photo above shows the entire map. The second photo shows the Apollo 11 landing site on that map. Photo three shows the entire set. The last photo shows the yellow sleeve. This set is complete, which is rare to find these days.
