Webster Jug North Carolina Pottery Salt Glaze Stoneware Vintage Southern NC Folk - $645 - (Raleigh, NC)

Super nice (est.) 1-gallon jug. Salt-glazed stoneware with fly ash glazing on the shoulder and two beautiful kiln "teardrops." Measures just about 12" tall. Except for a few small, minor flakes on the spout edge, there are no chips, hairlines, or repairs. In my opinion, based upon comparisons to other similar jugs, this is a Webster (probably Chester Webster) product. The shape, set of two parallel lines around shoulder, handle form, and spout all match decorated Webster examples. See the photos of decorated jugs for comparison.
