This volume was originally published in special installments in the Philadelphia Weekly Times. This collected work was published by The Times Publishing Company, Philadelphia, PA in 1879. This 800 page collection of special writings, written in 1st person accounts, both from the North and South, cover many topics and events that occurred during the Civil War. Please note the two Contents pages for the subjects covered. The book is in Fair Condition. The cover boards have cracked away from the text, but are still attached. The spine shows heavy wear (see photos), but still attached. The pages are intact with the spine and are complete. There are no missing or torn pages. The volume's condition shows it has been handled often during its 138 year life span, as you might expect, due to the depth and quality of the content.
