Homa Caster Set - Vintage Mid-late 70s - early 80s Marshall JMP JCM Cab Wheels - $389 - (Memphis, TN)
This a fine quad of black Homa casters for your 1975-1983 Marshall 4x12 cabinet. They were made in Leicester England by Homa Cosby and are exceedingly rare these days. There is some normal wear to these but they are in good solid condition and don't wobble from abuse. They rotate and swivel freely (the bearings are great and the tops are tight as mentioned) and the wheels spin freely or with a an easy push of the finger with no snags. Also the studs are straight and the threads are perfect. Homas are very solid casters and these won't fail you when mounted but as with every brand of caster of this size, they can be tricky on house carpets, always have been. These are the fine-thread version and will also work on many of the 2x12 combos from this era. They were also used on some late 70s Park cabs and combos. I believe the stud size is 3/8" x 20 (thread count), or possibly 3/8" x 24 (I will double check this soon) as opposed to the earlier coarse-thread Homa casters which I know to be 3/8" x 14. If you still have the factory stock caster mounting plates on the bottom of your JMP or JCM 800 cabinet or combo then you are good to go but message me if you are unsure of what you have and I can tell you from a picture and description of your amp. If you want the casters but have no mounting plates (sockets) then I can include a genuine and rare Homa set for an additional $80, but I will not sell these cups as a separate item because of their rarity.
