TYT TH 9000 Radio Transceiver - $25 - (Lipan, TX)
I bought this radio new a few years ago as my first 2m rig. It has been used in a non smoking office and kept covered when not in use. A few days ago I turned it on and the display was lighted but completely blank. I disconnected the power cable and reconnected it and the display came to life, but with all icons illuminated. I could not change this condition and the display stays fully illuminated as long as there is 12VDC present to the unit. It will not transmit or receive in this condition. I did an internet search and found other TYT users with similar issues, but no solution. One had contacted the factory and was offered parts to repair the radio, but I did not follow up to see what he did. I have not opened the case or made any modifications, so the unit is factory sealed. The microphone is perfect with no button wear at all. The mounting bracket and the factory screws are included. The power cord has not been cut or modified. I am selling the unit AS-IS to someone with a bit more skill than I have to return the radio to working condition. It puts out a solid 55w on 2meters and is (was) a great radio. Good luck! 73's KG5FKV
