This circa 1920 Queen Anne sideboard is featured in a beautiful burled walnut, with the six drawers framed by breakfront cupboards and raised on ball-and-claw Queen Anne style legs. The drawer fronts, which include a lined silverware drawer and a butler drawer, are deeply inset with thick ogee edge perimeter molding, while the cabinet door fronts display applied half-round frame molding with scrolling fan corner accents. All compartments feature nicely patinated embossed brass hardware, with the drawers constructed with sturdy dovetail joinery, and are framed at the base with a wraparound applied lattice fretwork molding and a finial-accented apron. The fretwork is also accents the rear capital rail, complementing the blunt lines also seen on the angular fluted side pilasters.
