The MFJ 912 provides a convenient method of transitioning from a coax line coming from the antenna tuner (a tuner is needed when using open line feeders) to an open wire fed (balanced line) antenna system. The 912 has a large dual core4:1 balun wound with Teflon wire and connects to high voltage ceramic feed thru insulators. It is a sealed unit and is designed to handle the full legal limit with ease using an SO-239 HF input connector. This Balun provides an excellent match for a G5RV antenna.
