Hi! For sale is an incredibly rare Hermagis F/5 Number 1 Eidoscope vintage brass lens. This lens was hand-made likely over 100 years ago and we consider this lens in excellent condition. Massively heavy at almost five pounds, 4 inch element diameter and standing 9 inches tall. Brassing on body, the tiniest pits, dings and scratches on lens glass and body. Glass and body are incredibly clean and very well taken care of. Because of the age of this lens, but immaculate condition, we rate this as excellent. No water stops, but those can be laser cut and many people provide this service online. No fungus, no haze, no major trauma or drops / dents. Just a small amount of dust, nicks, streaking. There is very little info and sales history on ebay or online. No info on focal length or coverage. Collectiblend has some background on their website. Other websites + forums suggest coverage of 11x14 or higher. The retaining ring turns very smoothly. No burrs or stickiness.
