Vintage Drive-In Theater Simplex XL 35mm Projector - $575 - (Coraopolis, PA)
This is a vintage running Simplex XL 35mm projector with Simplex IPC Soundhead with Dolby Analog reader and drive motor. Includes XeTRON film failsafe. This projector setup was used in a drive-in theater for a very long time until the conversion to digital projection. It is in great running condition. The projector has a new gearside door gasket with a fairly new intermittent, has the hookup for water-cooling, all sprockets in good running condition, very well maintained. It is hard without research of the serial number to date this projector, however this model projector was introduced in 1949. It is very possible that this projector was made then or later. This projector has run most of its life in a drive in and is ready to be a part of your vintage collection, home theater, or even be put back into service. Great collector's item or also great for anyone needing a working 35mm projector! Thanks for looking! Shipping: This projector is large and heavy, they were built solid back in the day. If shipped, it would have to go by freight. Upper feed arm and lower return arm can be taken off projector to fit in a crate. Buyer must pay freight or pickup.
