Rare Vintage Harry B. Jay Trumpet in Remarkable Condition - - $450 - (Bartow, FL)

Up for sale is a very rare trumpet in unbelieveable condition. It plays better than most trumpet made today. It is a Harry B. Jay (same as Louis Armstrong's 1st cornet). It has the capability of playing in "Bb" (like a standard trumpet today) and "A" and even "Ab" with a quick adjustment of the main tuning slide. What's additionally cool are the two mouthpieces that are included. 1 is a Boosey & Co. (it is stamped with a "17"). The lathe-work is fascinating and the original plating is nearly 100%. The other mouthpiece (the shorter 1 in the pictures) is labeled "Whaley Royce & Co." and is actually a cornet mouthpiece, but does fit securely in the trumpet. The serial number puts this instrument being made sometime around 1911 or so, but I couldn't find any definite data on that.
