Unlabeled Saxon Cello, ca. 1880- $8000 Recently restored by master violin maker Arnold Posch off Hall, Austria, this cello has a deep, warm tone characteristic of old German cellos. A true antique, it has cracks that have been thoroughly repaired (accompanying pictures of the cello during its restoration). Though it is a full-size cello, it is cut on a smaller pattern than most and thus is more comfortable to play, and would suit cellists with smaller hands.
