Listed here is a lovely Ornately carved Italian Rococo Revival Set, dated: Early 20th Century. Consisting of Settee Canapé and pair of fauteuils chairs. Emphasis on curves and rounded profiles; by elaborately carved gilded ornamentation consisting of S-and C-scrolls, naturalistic motifs featuring foliage and flowers. High relief pierce crest continuing down to open arms scrolls, supported cabriole legs and terminating with scroll feet. Truly one of kind, no other sets like it, original 24 K water gilding the best finish ever. Recently upholstered in natural easy care cotton muslin fabric because the original upholstery was old and not presentable this should be redone in luxurious fabric because of the exquisite frames. Condition * The gilding is phenomenal 24K water gilding, fabric is sheer cotton muslin material meant to be recover over, shows minor natural grain on the material (view all photos) worn at the base of the feet, reveals some of the reddish bole underneath the gilt..
